In practical applications, different welders are generally selected according to the structural shape of the seam-welded workpiece, the type of material, the thickness of the plate, and the airtightness requirements for the weld.
(1) Selecting the type of Truss Girder Welding Machine structure—In the normal case, the fixed seam welding machine is generally used. Because of its good rigidity, it can weld thick weldments and it is easy to ensure the welding quality.
1. When the direction of the weld to be welded is perpendicular to the direction of the arm of the welder, the transverse seam welder should be selected.
2. When the direction of the weld bead is parallel to the direction of the extension of the welder arm, the longitudinal seam welder should be selected.
3. When welding often replaces the weld of the weld, the general-purpose seam welder for vertical and horizontal use should be selected.
4. When the welding is generally inaccessible to the fixed seam welder, the mobile seam welder can be selected.
(2) Select the main power type of the welding machine
1. Low-speed or medium-speed seam welding of general low-carbon steel and stainless steel usually adopts power frequency AC seam welding machine.
2, aluminum alloy, heat-resistant alloy seam welding, should choose secondary rectification or three-phase low-frequency seam welding machine.
3, low-carbon steel plate lap high-speed (15m / min or more) continuous seam welding and requires air tightness, should also choose secondary rectification seam welder.
4, low-carbon steel plate (thin plate) high-speed welding, it is best to use inverter seam welder.
(3) Selecting the power of the welding machine—The power level of the seam welding machine is the same as that of the point (convex) welding. The choice is mainly based on the material properties of the workpiece, the thickness of the plate, the welding speed, and the like. As the material conducts, the thermal conductivity increases, the plate thickness and the welding speed increase, the welder power should also increase.
(4) Select seam welding machine according to certain special requirements—For special welding materials with special materials or special structures for seam welding, special seam welding machines that can meet their special needs should be selected.
